What really makes a sandwich healthy? There are certainly a few ways to do it (throw out the bread and opt for lettuce wraps instead!), but then your options become more limited... right?
Not so!
The Domestic Geek is back and she has some unforgettable sandwich ideas that are perfect for a healthy on-the-go lunch.
Not only are they definitely a unique take on a sandwich, they're perfect when you're sick and tired of your usual turkey and cheese sandwich.
First, there is the "amped up" Tuna Salad recipe, which features a hearty and delicious tuna salad on top of a slice of bread--gotta watch those carbs, right? Next up, we have the chicken salad sandwich, which is the perfect way to use last night's leftover chicken dinner. You can wrap this one in a collard wrap or even between two slices of bread!
Last but certainly not least, we have the unforgettable bean and avocado spread that you can put on literally anything. In her version, she puts it inside a red bell pepper. Yum! This is perfect for meatless Mondays because it is meat-free!
