Erick Dixon claimed that he found a dead mouse inside a bottle of Coca-Cola. Dixon posted a live video of the incredibly disgusting thing on Facebook which eventually became viral, the Mirror reports.
Dixon, who’s from San Pedro Garza Garcia in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, claimed that he noticed something weird with the bottle before he even opened it. Dixon said in the video, “I found something a bit strange in the top part of the bottle and decided to record a video while emptying the drink."
Dixon use a machete-like knife to take the cap off the soda bottle. According to Mirror, there wasn’t any hiss that fizzled out of the bottle. This could’ve indicated that the bottle was already opened. However, there were visible bubbles inside.
Dixon said, “There are hairs in the cover. There are also hairs inside. I am going to throw it because it is too disgusting." He then showed underneath the cap and there were a few strands, although it was hard to tell if they’re actually hair.
Dixon poured out the soda and a black slimy blob appeared after all of the liquid was drained out. It did seem like a dead mouse.
However, the mouse’s body seemed a little too big to fit through the hole and the neck of the bottle. At first, Dixon described it as a rat.
Dixon said, “Look at this, something is appearing now. I don’t know if you can see it, but this is a rat, inside a Coke bottle.”
He continued, "It is a new Coke, just bought in Oxxo, it does not matter where it was bought, but it was new, totally new, and there is a kind of little mouse. This is the mouse that invaded my Coke. If you drink Coke, please check it before drinking it."
People, however, speculated that Dixon just faked the whole thing. The absence of the fizzle and the continuous naming of the rat somehow gave it away.
According to Mirror, The Coca-Cola company has not released a statement yet regarding Dixon’s video, even though it went completely viral all across the Mexican Internet. Over “11,600 armchair experts” voiced their opinions and agreed to disagree.
‘Jacob Espinosa’ made a very astute observation: "When he opened the bottle, there was no gas from inside."
‘Teresa Ortega’ exclaimed: "What a disgusting thing!"
‘Bianca J Primero’ added: "Very disgusting, poor you, man. I do not notice if there are hairs in the cover or what, but it is disgusting anyway."
