She Was Born With A Rare Tumor On Her FACE. Her Parents Aren’t Sure If Her Life Can Be Saved…

This baby was born with a rare tumor on her face. Over the past 11 months, it has grown to an incredible size, swelling to overtake most of her face. Her parents are now desperate to save their daughter.

Chingrung Mro, a young infant born in Bangladesh, was only nine months old when her parents brought her in to the hospital for the massive tumor that had grown over her entire face.

The little girl was promptly diagnosed with a ganglioglioma cyst, a rare tumor that grows incredibly slowly in a person’s body. Since Chingrung was born, the cyst has been growing larger and larger in size. If left untreated, the cyst could be fatal.

Although her parents could see this problem growing, they didn’t have the money to pay for Chingrung’s treatment. Once they brought their daughter to the hospital, however, a social worker, Fabian Gomez, decided to start a social media campaign to raise money for Chingrung’s procedure.

The campaign slowly gathered attention until it even caught the eye of the ministers of Bangladesh, Obaidul Quader. Quader immediately arranged for Chingrung to have her necessary medical treatment completed at Dhaka Medical College.

Gomez commented, “Many people have tried to help by raising funds, but we wanted to provide her with better treatment because she’s a baby.”

The medical team at Dhaka Medical College have assembled a team of surgeons, including a plastic surgeon, a neurosurgeon, and a pediatric surgeon, to operate on Chingrung. The doctors are hopeful that the surgery will be successful in removing the tumor and restructuring Chingrung’s face.

Chingrung’s father just wants his daughter to “improve in this hospital” and to “thank everyone that helped her.”
