At 15, His Classmates Make Fun Of His Weight. Two Years Later, He's Making Sure That Never Happens Again.

He was tired of being made fun of, so he took matters into his own hands.

Teens can bully their peers for just about anything.

Anthony Oakley was bullied when he was 15 because he weighed 224 pounds at the young age of 15.

He was teased mercilessly by his classmates, and even was given an ill-intended nickname.

“I was always picked last in PE and I was never popular with the girls. They used to call me ‘Fat Tony.’ I had rolls of fat on me.”

When he got to high school, things just got worse. “I was made to feel an outcast from the start and would cry on the phone to my mom because I was so sick and tired of the teasing.

“My own brother would take the mick out of my weight also, which hurt the most.”

So he decided to turn all of that around.

“I made myself go to the gym every day for a month before I let myself have a day off, just to get the routine going.”

Now, he trains every day, except weekends. His diet is mostly protein, with some carbs and fat. And now, he’s a fitness model.

“I always have a day when I eat what I want,” he says. “Usually it will be a pizza, burgers, and cheesecake. I can’t get enough of them. It does my body good to include a cheat day once a week as it shocks the body and increases my metabolism.”

Though he was never popular before, he’s now regained confidence, and has a girlfriend who loves his body. He models for Compare Proteins.

Even though he’s a model, he’s not totally satisfied with his body.

“I don’t think I will ever be satisfied. I’m blessed for what I have but if I say Im happy, will I continue to work hard on it? I don’t think so.”

But happy or not, he has words of advice to others like him. “Never give up on your dreams and aspirations,” he says. “Keep your goals written down and your mind strong and you will be successful at your dreams.”
