Luis Padron, 25 years old, had been bullied all throughout his childhood for being perceived as different. Padron took shelter in fantasy literature and realms that are inhabited by elves and angels in order to make himself feel secure and safe.

So, it came to no surprise when Padron decided to spend more than $25,000 on plastic surgery to alter himself from his average human features into something more alabaster and elfin. He began to bleach both his skin and his hair, while letting it grow longer.

Padron, who’s from Argentina, spend at least $4,000 a month for specialist creams, dyes, sunscreens, and other forms of treatment. He also went under the knife for “liposuction on his jaw, a nose job, full body hair removal, and operations to change his eye color,” according to Daily Mail.

Although other people would stare at him quite rudely, Padron doesn’t really mind it. His goal is to fully transform his appearance into that of an elf, and he believes that he would complete that goal after he gets a successful surgery for pointed ears.

Padron, who earns money by selling cosplay items, said, “I want to be an elf, an angel and a fantasy being, my aim is to look inhuman, ethereal, graceful and delicate. I have my own beauty ideal and want to achieve that no matter what.

“I want to have my ears cut to become pointy like elves, my jaw to look sharper like a diamond, a face-lift and an eye-lift to give my eyes a cat-like shape. I am also consider having muscle implants too. There's also a surgery to make you taller and I will remove four of my ribs too, so that I can shape my waist to make it thinner.”

Padron had gotten used to others staring at him ever since he was a teenager.

Padron said, “Even when I'm not dressed up like an elf, people stare at me. I have had long white hair for five years, I use larger contact lenses and I am very tall. I use make-up to enhance my features so they are more angelic and wear clothing that's more stylish or antique.

“I consider myself trans-species, in the same way transgender people feel, I need to become how I feel inside, I don't expect people to understand but I ask they respect it. The fantasy genre makes me happy and because I didn't have many friends when I was younger I submerged myself into it.”

Padron’s first surgery was when he was only 14 years old. The rest of the procedure followed. One of the operations that he had was considered illegal and medically unsupported. He had his eye color changed from honey brown to a crystal blue, according to Daily Mail.

Padron said, “It was without anesthesia, was very painful and meant I had to use eye drops and extremely black sunglasses, essentially I became like a vampire with extreme photosensitivity.

“At first even watching stars in the sky was painful but three days later they felt normal again, I don't know how they affect my sight in future. It hasn't turned to a crystal blue color yet unfortunately they are currently a greyish color, but I'm still hopeful as I have four more sessions left.”

Padron had been offered multiple modelling gigs because of his new look. He even gets paid to appear in events dressed like an actual elf. His chosen path, however, would take a lot of money to keep. He had to spend around $5,000 every month.

Padron said, “I don't consider this an obsession, but in fantasy you have all of the hope, love, friendship and good feelings. This helps me to feel like a good person but in fantasy you have to be beautiful not only on the inside but the outside too. This has changed my life for good in so many ways, I can't even begin to describe it.”

These are some of the surgeries that Padron would have to have in the future: PermaSmile, BrightOccular, rhinoplasty, cutting ears and reshaping them, removal of four ribs, lengthening of limbs to add more inches to his height, surgical removal of Adam’s apple, and eyelift to make the eyes more “cat-like.”
