This Mother Thinks She

This Mother Thinks She's Going To Have Twins, Or Even Triplets, But When She Actually Gives Birth, She Nearly Passes Out In Shock.

During her fourth pregnancy, LaQueena Hunter Grover was told by just about everyone that they assumed she was having twins, or triplets. She even thought herself that there might have been one baby hiding behind the other. But everyone ended up being wrong.

Over the course of LaQueena Hunter Grover’s fourth pregnancy, she was fairly convinced that she would be having more than one child. At least two, maybe three. Everyone who saw her agreed.

"People would come up to me and say, 'Oh I think that's twins or even triplets. Maybe there's another hiding behind one of the babies,'" Grover recalled.

It was only when Grover was in the delivery room though, that the truth became clear.

She was only pregnant with one child.

When the doctor helped guide Grover’s son’s head out, her husband’s mouth “literally dropped.”

"He was like, 'That's a big baby,’” Grover laughed. “When [my son] was born, he was 14 pounds 1 ounce. I remember the nurse came running back and when she told me that, I swear, had I not been on the gurney already, I would've passed out right there when she said that."

Grover’s fourth child, Loyalty Adonis Grover, was one of the largest babies the hospital had on record.

Some health complications placed him in the NICU for about a month, but now, Loyalty is in very full health and back home with his mom.

Grover says her son, just one month old, already weighs 15 pounds and is 2 feet tall. He wears a size 3 Pamper while other children his age wear a size 1. Most of his clothes are meant for 3-to-6-month-old children, and some are even for 6-to-9-month-old children.

Loyalty is not just a physically large; he also carries a huge presence.

"He acts like the Incredible Hulk when he does not get what he wants. He does not like to be wet. He likes to be changed immediately. And he wants to eat as soon as he gets hungry," Grover said.

But, despite the complications during pregnancy and birth, Loyalty is now in perfect health and Grover is hoping that her son’s large size is an indication of how he’ll be in the future.
