A mom in Arizona has called the cops on her toddler daughter to teach her an important lesson on seat belt safety.
According to KTRK, Michelle Fortin and her 3-year-old daughter were driving home on Monday, when the little girl suddenly unbuckled her seat belt in the car.
Without a moment of hesitation, Fortin pulled over and gave her daughter a serious talk, stressing the importance of staying buckled at all times in the car.
Seeing that her daughter wasn’t taking their chat as seriously as she would have liked, Fortin decided to reinforce her life lesson by calling Scottsdale police officers to talk to her daughter about seat belt safety again.
"I guess it was an extreme choice on my part to call police, but I knew she was gonna remember it and I knew by hearing from a police officer, who is a person of authority that my kids respect, I knew that was gonna drive the point home better than just hearing it from mom," Fortin said.
While calling the cops may have been a little over the top, it was totally worth it.
Ever since that day, Fortin’s daughter Camille has promised that she will never unbuckle her seat belt while her mom’s driving again.
