A Florida mom is suing a daycare center after boiling liquid from a warmed bottle fell directly on top of her 11-month-old son, leaving him with severe burns all over his body.

According to CBS 12, Estania Eloi said the staff at Heart to Heart Learning Center never even called 911 after seeing her son’s burns.

The staff also allegedly lied to Eloi when she initially asked about the shocking burns on her son’s body.

"I couldn't believe they did that to my baby, and they're not trying to help me out," Eloi said of her son, Nathaniel.

Although Eloi understands that accidents happen, she claims the daycare actually lied and said her son had a “fever” and conveniently covered one side of his face before sending him home.

"When I got to the door, she [daycare worker] told me, here here, go to the hospital, he has a fever. But I didn't get to see this side of his face," said Eloi. "I know it's an accident but you didn't try to help my child. He could've died at the school."

After Eloi took Nathaniel to St. Mary’s Hospital, the baby boy had to be airlifted to Jackson Memorial Burn Center in Miami, where he received emergency treatment for severe second-degree burns.

Eloi is now suing the daycare, arguing that the staff failed to follow safety protocols by allowing her son anywhere near the bottle warmers.

"We have a defenseless child, who can't speak for himself to say this is what happened," said Jason Williams, Esq., Law Office of Lewis and Williams. "We have to protect the little ones the most."
