An Oklahoma mom was arrested over the weekend after she accidentally mixed apple flavored vodka into her baby’s infant formula.

As Fox 25 reports, 36-year-old Monique Bibbs explained to police that she had been partying with friends over the weekend and decided to store some of her apple vodka in a clear plastic water bottle for later.

When she returned home from her night out, she reportedly put the water bottle back in the refrigerator and forgot all about it.

According to Tusla County police, by the time Bibbs went to mix her infant’s formula around 9 a.m. the next morning, she assumed that the plastic bottle was still full of water.

Once the contents were mixed together, Bibbs quickly noticed that her baby couldn’t drink more than half the bottle.

As she tried to burp the baby, Bibbs was horrified to find the distinct smell of alcohol on the infant’s breath.

While Bibbs reportedly did not seek medical attention for the baby right away, she did ask the child’s father for help, though he refused.

Around 10:30 a.m., after throwing away the bottle of vodka, Bibbs drove her infant to the hospital, where doctors discovered that the tiny infant’s blood alcohol content was .19.

Although the baby is said to be OK, the infant is still in the hospital to undergo observation just in case.

Meanwhile, after detectives found the empty vodka bottle in the trash can at Bibbs’ apartment, she was arrested on child neglect charges.
