There Isn't A Single Dry Eye When This Dog Visits Her Devoted Owner Before He Passes Away

When Ryan Jessen’s family took him to the hospital to receive some medical advice on his severe migraine, they had no idea that the news would turn out so badly.

33-year-old Ryan Jessen was recently taken to the hospital for symptoms of a severe migraine. He and his family thought that it would be something relatively mundane, something that would pass in no time at all.

This was far from the case.

Jessen was diagnosed with a fatal ventricular brain hemorrhage. There was nothing doctors could do at that point to save his life.

The family only had enough time to gather all their loved ones and ask them to gather around Jessen’s hospital bed as he took his final breaths.

The hospital even made an exception for Jessen.

Dogs aren’t usually allowed in the hospital, but given Jessen’s situation, they allowed his sister to bring in Jessen’s dog, Mollie, in so she could also say goodbye to her owner.

Jessen’s sister, Michelle, wrote on her Facebook, “The hospital did the sweetest thing for us and allowed us to bring my brother’s dog in to ‘say goodbye’ so she’d know why her human never came home.

“They think it was brought on by high blood pressure, and there’s speculation that his frequent consumption of energy drinks may have contributed,” she explained.

Sadly, Jessen has been confirmed to have passed away.

“THANK YOU to everybody for the outpouring of support, but I won’t be responding anymore,” Michelle ended her post. “We are sincerely touched and humbled by others’ stories, their sharing in our sadness and the kindness of so many people. Don’t worry about the dog! We’re keeping her!!! She’s part of the family.”

We are keeping the Jessen family in our thoughts during this trying time.
