He Accidentally Gets Into A Fight. When His Teacher Sends Him To Detention, He Panics. No One Realized This Would Lead To His Death

Nasar Ahmed’s school staff and faculty knew the young boy had asthma. But even when he began to have a panic attack from being sent to detention, no one did anything about it. This misstep ultimately led to his death.

14-year-old Nasar Ahmed passed away recently after he endured a panic attack that triggered his asthma.

Ahmed, a year nine student at Bow School, had been in what the school calls a “fight” with another student when he accidentally knocked over a trashcan in the process.

His teacher wanted to punish Ahmed for his unacceptable behavior, so he sent Ahmed to detention.

According to some reports, Ahmed “pleaded and promised the teacher that he would never do that again,” but the teacher refused to listen.

Ahmed had always been known as a “very gentle and smart decent child [sic]” who also suffered from “severe asthma, eczema, and other allergies.”

When a classroom tussle resulted in a tipped trashcan, Ahmed “was isolated and given a detention.”

It’s unclear as to what precisely happened, but Ahmed’s family suspect that the prospect of detention sent Ahmed into a panic attack. This then triggered Ahmed’s need for his inhaler, to keep his asthma from attacking him too strongly, but the teacher on supervision duty refused to give Ahmed the inhaler.

“He was panicking. He collapsed,” sources suspect.

By the time Ahmed’s unconscious form was discovered, he already had to be resuscitated by doctors before he was sent to the hospital.

But it was already too late.

“He was on a life support machine, but he was badly brain damaged. He was dead already, I would say, but the machine was keeping him alive,” Ahmed’s cousin, Sani Begum, reported, “all the family were with him and we prayed together and then his life support machine was switched off at 8pm.”

Bow School has released several statements to the family, offering their “thoughts and prayers,” but maintaining that there is “considerable misinformation” present in the investigation. Police are currently in the process of pursuing this case further.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ahmed’s family at this time.
