A man in Australia is speaking out after discovering a disgusting colony of insects crawling in a bag of dry pasta he bought from his local supermarket.

Masood Rahimi’s has been buying the same package of bowtie pasta from Coles supermarket for as long as he can remember.

And he’s never experienced a problem with the pre-packaged pasta before. That is, until now.

As seen in a downright chilling video he later shared on Facebook, we watch as Rahimi shakes around a clearly unopened package of pasta at home.

Even though the pasta doesn’t expire until October 14, 2017, somehow a group of gross bugs managed to find a way to crawl inside the sealed bag without anybody at Coles even noticing.

To make matters worse, Rahimi was just moments away from serving the 500g bag of Coles 100% Durum Wheat Bowties to guests on Saturday.

While speaking with Yahoo7, Rahimi said he tried to reach out to somebody from the Coles customer service department, but he hasn’t really heard much from them since the eerie discovery.

"It was really gross and disgusting," he said of the incident. "They want to show the public they were nice, [but] they didn't do any action."

So far, the bugs seen inside the bag of pasta haven’t been identified, but many commenters believe they may be “weevils.”

They may actually be right about this one. If you type “weevils” into Google, some of the first few searches that pop up are “weevils in pasta,” “weevils in flour,” and “weevils in cereal.”
