Peeling potatoes always takes forever and the skin can get everywhere.
But what if there was an easier way to do it that would save you time and energy? Well, there is! It’s so easy you’ll wonder why this isn’t a more common way to peel potatoes.
The process isn’t much different and you’ll for sure save at least 15 minutes on your dinner prep time!
Here’s how to do it…
1. Take a very sharp knife, and carefully glide it along the center of the potato deep enough to cut through the skin.
3. Make the incision ring around the whole potato.
4. Place the potatoes in a pot, add hot water, and bring them to a boil.
5. After a few minutes, strain the potatoes, saving the leftover water, and put them in a second pot.
6. Take the pot you placed the potatoes in and run it under cold water.
7. The next step is simple. You should be able to clearly see the line you made with your knife. Make sure the potatoes have cooled down enough to touch.
8. You'll now be able to easily remove the potato skin by pinching it off from both ends of the potato, one side at a time.
9. Return the potatoes to the pot of water you saved, add more water if you need, and finish cooking them on the stove.
