The EASY Way You Can Cut Hundreds Of Calories From Your Pizza!

The EASY Way You Can Cut Hundreds Of Calories From Your Pizza!

It's not some healthy swap, either. You can still enjoy your favorite pizza, just with fewer calories!

If you’ve ever eaten a pizza, you know someone like this. Maybe you even are this person.

You get a pizza at a group dinner or some other kind of function. Then, someone in the room, maybe it’s you, picks up a napkin and blots away the pizza grease pooling on top.

Everyone is scandalized. Who could do that to a perfectly good pizza!

As it turns out, this person may be justified in doing so. At least they’re more justified than, say, someone who eats their pizza with a fork and knife (for shame)!

It turns out that making your pizza less greasy can also keep you trimmer.

It makes sense, really—after all, you’re blotting off way more oil than really needs to be on any food.

But how much are you really getting rid of?

CNN’s Dr. Roshini Raj approximates that blotting the oil saves you anywhere from 20 to 50 calories per slice, from a slice of pizza that averages at 272 calories per slice. Of course, pizza comes in all shapes and sizes, and there’s no way to know for sure how many calories you’re actually saving. After all, how big is this slice? Is it thin crust or deep-dish?

But one thing is for sure. No one has just one slice of pizza. This makes this calorie-saving news even better, because while 20-50 calories doesn’t sound like a lot, it adds up pretty quickly if you have more than one slice.

Of course, you’re welcome to live a little. After all, blotting that oil could be taking off an essential seasoning. But the practice will, if nothing else, save you calories.
