4 Quick Ways To BOOST Your Energy Levels Naturally

When you're in desperate need for a quick energy boost, you might want to think twice about reaching for another cup of coffee. Instead, try these incredibly easy natural energy boosters!

When you’re short on time but need a serious energy boost right now, reaching for another cup of coffee may not be your best option.

If you’re an avid coffee drinker—like so many of us are—a quick cup of Joe in the afternoon may not even feel like it makes much of a difference in your energy levels.

That’s not even the worst part. While the caffeine may not hit right away (when you need it), coffee has a funny way of keeping you up all night.

So, not only did you not get the boost you needed earlier in the day, but now you’re not even going to get the good night’s sleep you desperately want to avoid drinking so much coffee tomorrow!

It’s time to break the caffeine cycle right now, and luckily for you, there are plenty of easy ways to do it that don’t involve buying a latte or a sugary energy drink.

Here are just a few super simple ways to give yourself a quick energy boost right now, suggested by The Huffington Post:

  1. Bite A Lemon: Quickly biting into something as sour as a lemon is enough to make your eyes burst right open. This is a great way to get a simple jolt of energy when you’re just about ready for your afternoon nap at work.
  2. Drink Ice Water: You may not realize how dehydrated you are until you drink a glass of water. Believe it or not, being even a little dehydrated can make you feel fatigued and drained. Replenish with an ice cold glass (or two) to give your body the hydrating energy boost it needs to make it through the day.
  3. Try Some Peppermint: You know how people seem to come to life in those York peppermint patty commercials? Well, they’re not so far from the truth. While eating a little peppermint won’t really send you to the top of a snow-covered mountain, it has been shown to make people feel more awake. If you’re feeling a little more tired than usual today, try chewing peppermint gum, sniffing peppermint oil, or even using peppermint body wash.  ##MN_RESP##
  4. Take A Walk Outside: Even a brisk walk around the block can help get your blood flowing when you need just a little pick-me-up to recharge midday. If you’re stuck at a desk all day, make sure to get outside and move around during your lunch break or even walk around the building on your way to the bathroom.
