How To Get Rid Of Dark Underarm Discoloration Fast

If you've been putting off wearing your favorite sundress because of post-winter underarm discoloration, then you're in luck. Keep reading for a few easy ways to get rid of underarm discoloration fast!

It’s finally time to break out all those sundresses and tank tops that have been hiding in the back of your closet all year long!

There’s only thing left to do before you stuff all your long-sleeves and sweaters into a bag for the next few months: take care of your underarms.

No, it’s not something you really want to talk about—or think about, for that matter—but for some unknown reason, your underarms are almost always five shades darker after winter ends.

Even after a good shave, it’s hard not to feel self-conscious about the dark discoloration under your arms.

Here are some super easy ways you can get rid of underarm discoloration now, so you can start enjoying your worry-free summer:

  1. Exfoliate: When your face looks a little dull, you exfoliate to rejuvenate and brighten the skin, right? Well, the same rules apply to the skin under your arms! All you need to get rid of these pesky dead skin cells is a good pumice stone and an exfoliant that contains lactic acid. Exfoliate about three to four times each week to bring your underarm skin back to its lighter hue.
  2. Get A Wax: Underarm discoloration is most often caused by tiny, dark hairs appearing just under the first layer of skin. Unfortunately, you can’t shave them away—unless you wait for them to grow longer. The easiest way to get rid of these annoying dark hairs is to get a simple underarm wax.
  3. Switch Deodorants: If you normally have sensitive skin, your deodorant might be causing the thin skin under your arms to appear darker. Try switching to a natural deodorant created specifically for sensitive skin and see if that does the trick!
